Affordable Housing Delivery Fund and Rural Housing Delivery Fund: Information for Registered Providers

Purpose of the funding

The purpose of the Affordable Housing Delivery Fund (AHDF) and Rural Housing Delivery Fund (RHDF) is to accelerate the delivery of affordable homes in North Yorkshire and plug the viability gap.  Whereas the AHDF can be used on any scheme across North Yorkshire, the RHDF is specifically designed to enable the delivery of affordable housing on Rural Exception Sites.

These funds have been created following the introduction of the Second Homes Council Tax Premium in April 2025.

Who can apply?

The funds are available to Housing Associations or Registered Providers only. Applications for the fund will be assessed on a Continuous Market Engagement basis by a panel of senior officers.

Expressions of Interest can be submitted to affordablehousing@northyorks.gov.uk

Before bids can be assessed an application form will need to be completed. These will be provided following an initial discussion between the Registered Provider and the Housing Strategy and Partnerships team.

Any funding award will be subject to compliance with the Subsidy Control Act 2022 secured through a grant agreement.
