North Yorkshire Thriving Communities Partnership

The Thriving Communities Partnership  brings together representatives from statutory and third sector partners across the county. The group was previously known as the North Yorkshire Liaison Group.

The group normally meets three times a year.

The overarching purpose of the Partnership is to work collaboratively towards a shared vision for community and voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) development.

North Yorkshire Thriving Communities Partnership aims to:

  • develop an increased understanding of respective sector and organisational priorities and challenges
  • increase closer working and collaboration between organisations, individually and collectively
  • identify shared and joint priorities, and processes for taking action
  • establish and work to a number of principles for joint planning and co-investment.

Membership

The core membership of the Group is made up of representatives from the public and VCSE sectors. Members may change and additional partners be involved determined by the agenda for each meeting.

The Chair of the Group is shared between North Yorkshire County Council and Community First Yorkshire, as is the secretariat of the Group.
