NYCC Approved Provider Lists for Adult Social Care

This webpage brings together useful information for organisations who are applying to be on North Yorkshire County Council’s Approved Provider Lists for Adult Social Care (2022-2027).


The current Approved Provider Lists (APLs) for adult social care come to an end on 31st October 2022.

The opportunity join the new APLs is now live and can be viewed **here**. The deadline for responses is 22/07/2022 12:00:00. 

To join the new Approved Provider Lists and be considered for new packages of care from 1st November 2022, providers must submit an application to demonstrate they meet the minimum required standards.  This will include a quality assessment and submission of a price for the provider’s services.  


**Please note that applications to be part of the existing Approved Provider (2016-2022) will remain open until 31st October 2022. These can be found here: Domiciliary Care and other regulated services; Community Care Providers; Non-Regulated Services.  If you apply for the existing list, you will still need to apply separately for the 2022-2027 list. Please ensure you select the correct opportunity.**

What will the new Approved Provider Lists cover?

The new APLs will cover the following services:

  • Nursing & Residential
  • Home Based Support
  • Supported Living
  • Community Based Support


What support is available?

Go4Growth is working alongside North Yorkshire County Council to provide organisations with resources and support around the application process, YorTender portal and non-technical questions.

Go4Growth is providing support to NYCC to enable us to be open for business to all. Go4Growth’s support is available to all organisations of all sizes who are interested in applying to be part of the APLs, including organisations who are part of the existing lists.

In addition to the support Go4Growth are providing to NYCC as part of the APL procurement exercise, Go4Growth also a have a range of resources to support small businesses and VCSE organisations, including an action planning tool to support organisations looking to win new business with the public sector. Please find below information about resources and events which you may find useful in preparing to apply to join the new APLs.

Please note, Go4Growth is unable to advise on any technical queries or queries related to the specifications themselves. Any questions about these should submitted as clarification questions through YorTender. The deadline for clarification questions is 12noon on 15 July. 

Existing providers are also welcome to raise questions at the weekly Care Connected sessions and these will be followed up with the appropriate teams.

The Independent Care Group (ICG) is also happy to talk to providers who have questions they do not feel they can ask Go4Growth or NYCC Procurement. NYCC is providing free ICG membership to all providers in North Yorkshire until March 2023. To become a member, click here to download and complete the membership form


Drop-in sessions

Every week Go4Growth will be hosting a drop in session for providers to take any process-related questions and to try support providers both before and throughout the competition.

Clarification Questions should still be utilised for any non-process topics, such as service related, pricing, legal questions etc.

The agenda will typically cover:

1. Registration to EU Supply - YOR Tender

2. Expressing interest in the opportunity

3. Completing the Application Form

4. Submitting your Bid

The agenda is flexible and there will be an open floor for any process questions providers would like to ask. The webinars will be recorded and available to watch afterwards on YouTube.
