The suicide prevention task group supports action locally by bringing together knowledge about groups at higher risk of suicide, applying evidence of effective interventions and highlighting resources available.
The group includes representation from North Yorkshire County Council, NHS, police, voluntary sector, district councils and Network Rail.
The group is developing a joint suicide prevention action plan with the aim of reducing the numbers of suicides in North Yorkshire and to improve support to those bereaved or affected by suicide.
