District local strategic partnerships

Most areas of North Yorkshire and York operate a local strategic partnership.

They bring together representatives from the local statutory, voluntary, community and private sectors to address local problems, allocate funding, discuss strategies and initiatives.

They aim to encourage joint working and community involvement, and prevent different agencies that share aims working in isolation. This helps to make sure that resources are better allocated at a local level.

A paper updating on the current situation with district partnerships in North Yorkshire was discussed at the 16 September 2011 meeting of Local Government North Yorkshire and York. Download this document from the right of this page.
